What does IEM Engineering do?
IEM Engineering is a Houston-based international engineering management consultancy. We provide project management, engineering design and independent owner representation for industrial, oil and gas, drilling, manufacturing and automation projects.

Can you help when equipment is designed overseas but installed in the US?
Yes. That is the core of what we do. We review overseas-designed packages for US code and standards compliance, manufacturability and interfaces before fabrication, and manage the handoffs between the design house, the fabricator and the site.
What does an owner's representative do on an engineering project?
An owner's representative acts for the equipment owner at the vendor or fabricator: surveillance, FAT and SAT inspection witnessing, quality and documentation review, expediting, punch listing and close-out, so problems are found in the shop rather than on site.
